Staff Accountant - Hickory NC

Our client is a multi-entity manufacturing organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join a small team and support the daily operational accounting function. He or she will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with the CFO, holding responsibility for general ledger, journal entries, reconciliation, payroll postings and intercompany invoices.

The Staff Accountant will also support the CFO with ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily operational accounting, general ledger entries, account reconciliation and intercompany invoices and payroll postings
• Provide support in the areas of A/P and A/R as needed
• Work with the Accounting Manager and CFO to assist with the month-end close process
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, standard accounting practices and internal policies
• Support ERP system upgrade and integration – MS Dynamics
• Perform ad Hoc reporting and analysis as needed, in support of business decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
• 1 – 3 years of manufacturing accounting experience
