Job Requirements
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for analyzing and verifying financial information, reconciling certain general ledger accounts and performing certain month-end close activities for the Corporate location. The Individual will be working in a fast-paced environment while building relationships within the accounting team and the larger business operations organization (e.g. FP&A, Legal Operations, Treasury, Tax, SEC Reporting, Compliance, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Perform certain monthly closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports
- Assume responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Support and serve as backup to team members for the monthly close of accounts receivable, accounts payable & fixed assets, preparation of payroll files for GL upload and other accounting processes as needed
- Act as a business partner to other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions
- Key contributor in continuous improvement projects. Responsible for actively identifying areas of improvement and recommending action plans.
Qualifications
- Accountant with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, public accounting experience, preferred
- CPA, strongly preferred
- Candidates must possess extremely strong Excel skills. You will be required to build sophisticated spreadsheets and models.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A high level of organizational skills plus be very detailed oriented are critical for this position.
- Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000
