For our North American headquarters, located in La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant.

Summary

The Senior Accountant works to ensure timely and accurate completion of day-to-day general accounting tasks. This role works with the Accounting Manager on department process improvements as well as policy & procedure coordination for the accounting group.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile heavy load of varying deposits on a daily basis
• Assist Accounting Manager with monthly AQS invoice billing and reconciliation of deferred revenue
• Prepare monthly sales tax report, make prepayments and file quarterly sales tax return
• Monthly A/P Accrual
• Prepare quarterly Canadian GST/HST report & file quarterly return
• Download multi-entity transactions and reconcile against bills and payments.
• Review/audit Return Authorizations and create related credit memos
• Post, reconcile, and audit credit card purchases and shipping bills
• Review and enter 3PL storage bills into ERP and arrange payments
• Review and enter trucking bills into ERP and arrange payments
• Assist as needed, with general accounting functions such as A/P or A/R, collections, daily invoice audit, fraud review, credit card issues and PayPal refunds
• Heavy involvement with month-end process
• Serve as back-up to Accounting Manager & Administrator
• Prepare various ad-hoc reports, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbal and written form
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years Accounting/GL experience
• Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics highly preferred
• Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel & Word with a minimum 40 wpm typing speed
• Able to pass pre-employment drug and background screen

What IQAir offers

At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is between $87,000.00 and $92,000.00 annually and most new hires start at $87,000.00. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications and experience.
