Senior Accountant

About the Job:

As a Senior Accountant you will be a key member of the Corporate Accounting team who handles many of the day-to-day activities. You love and notice the little details and want to grow your skills in accounting. Beyond the details, you’ll be dealing with the big picture in the role as well as articulating what’s happening in our business from both a top-line and an operating expense perspective. You’ll build a strong foundation for your communication skills as you’ll interact with key stakeholders all across the Company. • Responsible for supporting the month-end close process including journal entries and reconciliations
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and full analysis of the P&L
• Supporting 10-Q and 10-K efforts
• Responsible for full-cycle Accounts Receivable process including timely cash application, aging/collection reviews, and reconciliations. This also includes the build out of sales data to bolster our top-line analytics.
• Examining accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformity to accounting principles
• Analyzing and identifying key variances through financial analysis including trend and actual vs. plan/forecast
• Analyzing financial and operational performance, including ad-hoc analysis

· Liaising with internal departments and stakeholders to analyze important financial data, assess financial projections, and monitor performance against key business metrics

· Improving the use of systems infrastructure including automation, creation of real-time dashboards, and integration of systems

· Supporting the development and maintenance of an infrastructure that facilitates rapid reporting and analysis of key metrics driving financial and operational performance

· Adhering to appropriate policies, systems and procedures for the Corporate Accounting department to ensure the Company’s financial performance and results are reported accurately, timely and efficiently

• Safeguard the company’s assets, be alert for situations that could invite fraud
• Participating in special projects as needed

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or other related fields
• Strong attention to detail with outstanding organization and prioritization skills
• Must demonstrate and model company values with internal and external customers
• Must have the ability to anticipate busy schedules and communicate with other members of the organization/department to complete assignments on time
• Must demonstrate integrity in research/analysis and commitment to accuracy
• Must have a high sense of urgency
• Must possess strong computer skills, including the use of Excel and PowerPoint
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must have a strong ability to work as a team member
• Love collaborating in real time and being present in the moment in person

Ideal Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting preferred
