Summary:
Position is an integral part of the Fixed Asset department. This position will research and prepare fixed asset project reconciliations for management review. Maintain multiple financial system records by entering, reconciling, and monitoring various input data to ensure that all financial information is properly recorded.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, complies, and processes journal entries and other financial transactions and performs account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of account balances and the proper accounting treatment of transactions.
- Maintains multiple financial system records by entering, reconciling, and monitoring various input data to ensure that all financial information is properly recorded.
- Prepares worksheets, financial statements, and reports to provide management with information for decision making, and to ensure that all reporting requirements are satisfied.
- Performs analyses of selected general ledger accounts; identifies and resolves reconciling items and accounting issues on a timely basis.
- Performs various accounting duties related to processing bills, inventory, control of fixed asset records, preparation of federal and state external reports, maintenance of department action slips, agency obligations, and bank reconciliations.
- Set up new Accounts Payable vendors. TIN match W9’s for new supplier set ups and attach forms in Oracle, run OFAC check.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area
- Three (3) years of applied accounting experience or equivalent experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of IRS 1099 reporting
- Experience using Oracle EBS Accounts Pay able module.
- Three years of experience with Accounts Payable vendor master maintenance
