Main purpose of the Sr Staff Accountant role:
This is a full time role for a candidate who establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information; managing staff.
Major Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close
- Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations. Ensure accuracy of accounting and financial data.
- Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
- Research and resolve accounting issues
- Generate reports and financial analysis
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare audit schedules and provide information to external auditors
- Develop recommendations to optimize company's accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies
- Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation
- Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
- Manage and mentor Staff Accountants
- Support Manager with ad hoc projects.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Required Competencies:
- BA/BS/MS in Accounting- CPA is strongly preferred
- 4+ years of corporate accounting and finance experience
- Combination of public and private accounting experience preferred
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Deep Excel skills including data analysis & forward-looking modeling capabilities
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Ability to present financial analysis as a story in an easy to understand manner to multiple types of audiences
- Experience with ERP system design and functionality
- Tech savvy. Loves Technology.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, organized and ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly while maintaining control of deliverables
- Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Mover, shaker. Out of the box finance person
- Previous experience in the retail/ecommerce industry is preferred

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary rate is $90,000- $110,000 per year.
