Summary
Nashville-based, New Heartland Group (NHG), is a full-service brand strategy, marketing, and consumer engagement agency/consultancy. We’re small, by design, and our model encourages real collaboration regardless of a person’s title. We work with global brands (Mtn Dew) as well as regional retail (Pepper Palace, Pizza Inn) and sports/entertainment clients (Big Machine Music City Grand Prix). We are very entrepreneurial minded, get overly excited about helping our clients hit goals (big and small) and are passionate about what we do and how we do it.
Not your typical marketing agency, we help clients connect with the 60% of consumers who call the New Heartland (Midwest, Southwest, Southeast) home. As the recognized thought-leader (three books, white papers, Forbes contributor for 10+ years), we defined the role culture, values, lifestyles and attitudes play in buying behavior.
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Account Executive looking to really contribute to a team. The SAE must have prior marketing and/or agency experience, love working in a fast-paced environment, be digitally and socially savvy and have strong writing skills. The position will support multiple accounts across all channels.
Job Responsibilities (this is not a sales position)
- Work with clients on business objectives, marketing strategies, and campaigns.
- Oversee the development and management of social media, SEO, Loyalty, and traditional media programs.
- Manage workflow and day to day communication.
- Project execution, budgets, and timelines.
- Direct creative and design teams, SEO agency and Ecomm partners.
- Maintain industry and competitive intelligence.
- Determine additional resources required and vet potential partners.
- Maintain and publish status documents for weekly meetings.
- May post on social media platforms on behalf of clients.
- We are in office 2-3 days per week.
- Some travel may be required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree – business administration, management, advertising, and communication are a plus.
- Prior agency or marketing experience is required.
- Ability to understand and drive a client’s business and product offerings.
- Knowledge of business, strategy, and management principles.
- Highly adaptable.
- Critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
- Understands social media best practices.
- Creative thinker that isn’t afraid to bring new ideas to the table.
- Experience with website / email marketing management software a plus (WordPress, Mailchimp, Hootsuite).
- Hootsuite, FB and Google Adwords certifications are a big plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Highly detail oriented.
Mandatory: Must haveat least 3 years of marketing experience.
