Self-Storage Customer Experience Expert

Love self-storage but hate cleaning out units? Enjoy customer service, but could do without cutting locks for auctions? Well, keep reading!

XPS Solutions has been in the self-storage industry for 24 years. We provide customer service solutions for thousands of self-storage facilities. We believe that EXPERIENCE MATTERS. THEIRS. YOURS. Just do it from the comforts of our beautiful campus in Richardson, TX, or your home office (if approved)!

There are a few things you need to know:

Working on campus you will enjoy building relationships with your co-workers, access to a fully-stocked cafeteria, “phone booths” available for use during breaks to have private conversations, all the equipment necessary to perform the job, face-to-face time with your coaches, and much more.

Working from home you will be required to provide your own equipment (financing options available), have reliable internet, have a quiet place to work with no distractions, have regular check-ins with your coach, participate in virtual team-building events, and can wear yoga pants all day if you like.

Here are the questions you probably want to ask us:

How much does it pay? Well, that depends on several factors including experience. But our pay scale is completely in line with other self-storage manager pay rates PLUS you won’t have to deal with rental trucks or sweeping units! And there are bonus opportunities!

What would my schedule be? There are several shifts available (9am – 5:30pm, 10am – 6:30pm, 11am 7:30pm). We will work with you to choose a shift that works best for you. You will be required to work some weekends.

What does training look like? Well, training is PAID and usually takes five days. After being trained, you will be paired with a mentor who will always be available to help.

What skills are required? You have to understand self-storage. You need to be able to multi-task. You must be an active listener to identify the customer's needs. You must be helpful, friendly, and kind to each and every caller. You must be able to type at least 35 words per minute.

ONLINE TRAINING

  • 5 day PAID training class

REQUIRED HOURS

  • Must be able to work one weekend day. Day off will be assigned.
  • 40 hours per week for Full Time with opportunity for OT (scheduled 8hrs daily)
  • Must exhibit excellent punctuality and reliability in regards to work schedule


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively able to handle continuous flow of inbound calls 90+ calls per shift
  • Comprehend customer's requests for rental services
  • Proactively assisting customers' basic needs and problem solving
  • Ability to multi-task and possess active listening skills
  • Utilize excellent spelling and grammatical skills to relay written messages as necessary
  • Accepting payments via phone
  • Assisting prospective customers and upselling services
  • Offering customer support via Live Chat
  • Performing other duties as needed and assigned by supervisor

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Self Storage Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Associate's Degree is a PLUS
  • Bilingual is a PLUS
  • Call Center Experience is a PLUS (inbound/outbound)
  • Must be able to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
  • Have good Patience -Attentiveness - Clear Communication - Effective Listening, with each customer interaction
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 35 WPM
  • 6 months+ in customer service role
  • Experience working with a PC and be able to maneuver multiple screens simultaneously

COMPENSATION/PAYROLL SCHEDULE

  • We pay comparable to an experienced Store Manager rate of pay! Let's get the discussion started!
  • Additional Performance BONUS Pay $$$ EACH MONTH
  • Semi monthly - check dates 15th and Last day of the month
    • 1st - 15th is paid on the last day of that month
    • 16th - last day of the month is paid on the 15th of the following month
