ECU Department of ITCS Network Services is currently seeking several Student Assistants. ITCS Network Services is responsible for supporting the enterprise network resources at ECU. These resources include but are not limited to wired and wireless network resources, security applications, and cabling needs.This student worker will be expected to be knowledgeable in basic computer operating systems and/or general networking and will serve as an entry level resource within one of the multiple teams that comprise ITCS Network Services. They will use their technical knowledge as a foundation to assist in deployment, analysis, and troubleshooting in the areas support by Network Services which may include network engineering, network security & analysis, voice services, collaboration and network architecture. This student worker must be dependable, courteous, demonstrate good communication skills, good organization skills, experience with Microsoft Excel and Word and be customer-service oriented and possess the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
The Student Workers are responsible for:
· Serving as an entry level resource within Network Services
· Assisting in deployment, analysis, and troubleshooting of networking
technologies
· Participate in knowledge sharing with other team members
· Other duties as assigned
Typical shifts are scheduled between Monday and Friday, coverage from
8:00 am to 5:00 pm

-Degree path in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking,
Construction Management or related field.
-Student must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
-Applicants should have an acceptable driving record, a minimum of 3 years
driving experience and be able to drive state van.
