Required

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.
• Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in the field of safety and security, some of which includes developing and/or delivering training or performing security assessments.
• Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record.
• Completion of the Federal Emergency Management FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) courses within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of practices, procedures, and industry standards related to safety and security.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to school security and incident command.
• Proficiency in the use of technology.
• Skill in technical writing, proofreading, and editing.
• Ability to identify training needs and create specialized training materials.
• Ability to present information and deliver training to diverse groups.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support the mission of the office.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Preferred

• Experience in Security Training and/or security assessments in a K12 environment.
