General Characteristics:
The Security Specialist Mid-Level provides all facets of program security management in support of SAP initiatives, to include OPSEC, personnel, physical, information, industrial, and direct war-fighter support.
Duties include:
- Provide SAP security administration and management to program elements.
- Coordinate tests, inspections, repairs of program facilities, and insure that all build projects meet DoD and ICD requirements.
- Ensure facility compliance with all policies and directives and providing guidance and oversight to defense contractors.
- Develop SAP documentation, security plans and procedures for safeguarding classified information.
- Present indoctrination, debrief, and refresher training for program briefed personnel regarding obligations to protest classified information.
- Ensure adequate secure storage and work spaces for customers.
- Maintain SAPF/SCIF.
- Provide security support at program meetings, program working
- Control visitor ingress/egress, answer phones, escort visitors and interface with senior level government and corporate officials and their staffs.
- Manage the Security Awareness and Education program, reviews inspection results to correlate training products and priorities.
- Insure proper handling of classified materials
- Perform general clerical and security related duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience
- Capable of developing and implementing a specific security task area or specialty in support of a Special Access Program (SAP)
- Some travel is required for this position
