Work will begin in early March 2024. COLSA Corporation is seeking a Junior Security Operations Specialist in support of Marine Corps Information Operations Center (MCIOC) in Quantico, VA. This work supports USMC Operational Forces, Information Operations (IO) advocates, IO proponents and encompasses disciplines of IO development and integration, signature management, IO analysis, operational security, program management, and intelligence technical support functions. The ideal candidate will peform work as a professional, unarmed Security Operations support to the MCIOC Special Security Office (SSO) for a full range of Security Operations and administrative duties gained from DoD or Government controlled/classified or similar facilities. Capable of responding to crisis events, new challenges, and sovling security related problems. Interaction with local police, fire and federal law enforcement agencies as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
- Provide eight (8) hours of desk service per day, Monday through Friday 0730 – 1600 (30-minute lunch);
- Assist with processing System Authorization Access Request requests;
- Assist with initial e-Quip processing;
- Assist Government personnel in the daily operations of the MCIOC Access Control Desk;
- Monitor local alarm systems and CCTV for the MCIOC;
- Provide entry/exit access control; including lobby-level reception, personnel badge issuance, and tracking of ingress of all
government, contractor, industry, and visiting personnel within the MCIOC; - Assist with escorting of security professionals who visit the facility to preform security related tasks;
- Assist Government personnel with collecting information for security clearances;
- Process incoming and outgoing Visitor Authorization Requests and Permanent certifications within 2 business days of
receipt; - Receive, answer, and transfer official telephone calls in a professional manner;
- Assist in the issuance/receipt and accountability of security equipment;
- Assist in tracking and monitoring the MCIOC visitor logs and duty rosters;
- Assist in enforcing personnel compliance with local security procedures and guidelines;
- Immediately report all possible security violations and/or incidents to the SSO;
- Accurately receive and report emergency calls, includes: bomb threats, casualty reports, and/or Red Cross messages, and;
- Man security desk until relieved by the MCIOC Duty

- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of security administration experience in DoD or Government controlled classified enviroments
- Experience with e-QIP processing, badge issuance, & Visitor Authorization Requests
- Excellent written communication, report writing, and presentation skills, and customer service skills
- Active TS/SCI DoD Clearance; US Citizenship required
