We are currently seeking to fill the position of Security Operations Specialist within our Austin, TX team. The ideal candidate has a bias for action and consistently demonstrates excellence. They will be, trustworthy, professional, adaptable to change, have strong situational awareness and be customer service oriented. Candidates must have a problem-solving mindset and exercise attention to detail in the performance of their duties. This position may include work on nights, weekends, and holidays.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct physical security assessments for Tesla and key stakeholders, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending solutions
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical security plans tailored to each stakeholder’s requirements
- Prepare detailed reports outlining assessment findings, recommendations, and action plans
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to physical security
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation of security solutions
- Executes company procedures to ensure the physical protection of personnel, and property, while meeting required codes and regulations
- Assists with the operation of security systems: CCTV, access control, and incident reporting
- 1+ years of security experience
- 3+ years of project management and risk management experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols preferred
- Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced, at times stressed work environment; Occasional requirement to stand a static security post
- Up to date security certifications and/or licensing for the US state the position is based in; CPP, PSP or equivalent certifications are a plus
- Effective research and analytical skills
