Security Manager
LOCATION: Wild Horse Pass Corporate Center
COMPENSATION: DOE
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week, Full-Time
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SUPERVISORY: Yes
REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities
Position Overview:
As a Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing security protocols across multiple locations, including an event center, convenience stores, corporate buildings, and property. Your primary goal is to create a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets while mitigating potential risks and threats.
Responsibilities:
Security Strategy Development:
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive security plans, policies, and procedures tailored to each location's specific needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of security personnel across various sites.
  • Conduct training sessions, set performance standards, and foster a culture of professionalism and vigilance among security staff.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments at each location, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing measures to mitigate potential threats, such as theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and emergencies.

Surveillance and Monitoring:
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of surveillance systems, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Monitor security cameras and respond promptly to any suspicious activities or incidents.

Emergency Response Planning:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for different scenarios, ensuring readiness to handle crises effectively.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services when necessary.

Security Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and safety.
  • Keep abreast of evolving security technologies and best practices.

Incident Investigation:
  • Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, incidents, or policy violations.
  • Document findings, implement corrective actions, and recommend improvements to prevent future occurrences.

Vendor Management:
  • Liaise with security service providers, equipment vendors, and contractors to ensure optimal service delivery, timely maintenance, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • Security Guard card is required.
  • Ability to pass and provide a clean 39-month Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Bachelor's degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in security management, preferably in a multi-site or diverse environment will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing security systems, CCTV, and access control technologies.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security and safety.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certification in security management or related field is advantageous.

Supervisor Responsibility:
Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes hiring, work allocation, training, problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance; provides guidance and feedback for assigned staff.
Computer Skills: Microsoft 365 software, Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook; Internet Explorer; Apple mac OS/iOS, basic knowledge of project management software.
Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple/complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write internal and external correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical business situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in all formats and deal with both abstract and concrete variables.
Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work will primarily be performed in an office environment.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk extended period. The employee occasionally is required to bend, climb, stoop, lift, carry, push, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
