Job Summary:
The Security Managerwill support the Mission Area Security Manager leading a cross functional team to oversee all security aspects of assigned programs to ensure compliance with programmatic requirements and Government regulations including but not limited to the NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, JSIG, and ICD-705. You will directly manage/supervise a team of entry level to experienced security professionals and will be the focal point of all security related tasks and matters. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Manage the oversight and implementation of contractual security requirements for classified program areas utilizing the NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, ICD-705, and JSIG.
Manage a small to mid-sized team of security professionals to include scheduling, coaching, training, and evaluating performance.
Set team objectives and milestones to ensure efficient operations.
Develop processes and procedures to ensure continually high compliance levels.
Provide managerial oversight of annual self-inspections, evaluate findings, and direct the implementation and re-evaluation of the corrective action(s).
Accountable for cost, budgets, schedules, safety, and human resources functions.
Investigate security infractions/violations, prepare reports specifying the potential for loss or compromise, and provide associated corrective actions.
Collaborate and assist the ISSO / ISSM on implementation of JSIG requirements.
Willing to travel on company business.
Must possess a valid driver’s license for escorting individuals across business locations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and 6 years experience OR in the absence of a degree 12 years experience is required.
Previous experience as a Special Programs Security Officer (PSO, CPSO, GSSO, SSO) supporting SAP and/or SCI Programs.
An active and in-scope Top Secret US security clearance with an investigation not older than six (6) years on the first day of employment.
Qualification We Value:
Degree major in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study.
At least 8 years of National Security experience preferred.
Related training with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) including, Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
