Primary Duties
• Designs, plans, implements, and maintains security policies, procedures, and practices which provide protection for the facility, information, equipment, and personnel in accordance with business and customer requirements.
• Leads all aspects of the security function, including strategic planning, customer interface, budget management, staffing, and leadership of all security operations.
• Identifies risks, researches, and deploys state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques.
• Responsible for reviewing and coordinating safe and secure international travel lanes for cargo.
• Ensure that we maintain compliance with our TSA programs to include Indirect Air Carrier Standard Security Program (IACSSP) and Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).
• Directs evaluation of existing security systems and programs and implements new or improved projects and procedures to close any identified deficiencies or gaps.
• Strategic oversight of the CTPAT program by completing and documenting security risk assessment.
• Maintains the CTPAT Portal within the US Customs system, to include upload documents, complete security profile and conduct the annual security profile review.
• Coordinates the successful CTPAT on site validations with US Customs every 3 years or when notified by US Customs.
• Liaison with US Customs CTPAT Security Specialist to ensure compliance with CTPAT standards, in addition with local and federal law enforcement agencies.
• Assists in presentation development to current or potential customers.
• Directs technical and information security activities, including security education, responsible for document and material classification control as well as record management.
• Directs Personnel Security Program, including pre-employment screenings, clearance processing and maintenance, visitor control, vendor security, internal and cargo theft investigations.
• Ensures that budgets, schedules, and performance standards/requirements are set and attained.
• Creates and executes security training programs; Ensures employees complete annual Security training to include but not limited to, CTPAT, STA - CargoFactor, and WPV.
• Manages the testing and recertification of badge access, burglar alarm and CCTV systems.
• Performs security audit at all company locations.
• Monitors and serves as point of contact for contracted guard services at company locations.
• Travels 25 – 50%

Minimum Requirements
Experience
• Minimum 6 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of electronic surveillance with access control, BA, and CCTV layout.
• Knowledge of IT Security and compliance experience preferred.
• Experience managing a CTPAT program.
• Knowledge of CTPAT standards, TAPA (Transportation Asset Protection Association) standards and FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) standards.
• Project management experience preferred.
• PC and Mac experience as well as a foundation with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel.

Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk. The employee is regularly required to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
