Security Guard Requirements
Responsible for the safety and security of the facility. Our security officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.
· Ensure the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
· Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing
· Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests.
· Answer questions and assist guests and employees.
· Remain flexible to ever changing environments; adapt well to different situations.
· Patrol the facility on foot.
· Answer phones or greet guests / employees in a professional, welcoming manner.
Qualifications:
· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the ability to work independently;
· Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements;
· Must have a high school diploma or GED,
· Must have at least one verifiable employer.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, for the purpose of public interaction and report writing;
· Strong interpersonal skills are important - require regular interaction with the public;
· Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard;
· Neat and professional appearance.
· Ability to provide quality customer service.
· Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
Applicants must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. This position is focused on customer service and access control. Must be customer service focused and able to enforce policy in a friendly and professional manner.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week

- Evening shift
