Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking for a Security Corporal that will ensure the protection of the Casino property and assets and the safety of customers and team members for his/her shift under direction of the Sergeant/Lieutenant.

1. Provides leadership and direct supervision, overseeing staff.
2. Maintains open communication with all staff, and the Security Manager utilizing the chain of command.
3. Makes timely notification to the Sergeant and/or Lieutenant of all incidents which may be inimical to the interests of the casino or affecting the Security Department's mission
4. Writes incident reports and checks all submitted reports for completeness, accuracy, and objectivity.
5. Assists the Sergeant/Lieutenant in the development and utilization of staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, while providing adequate coverage.
6. Ensures the "pull" is conducted efficiently, completely, with extreme accuracy and in a timely manner.
7. Responds to customer and team members requests for service, assistance or information, doing so with a service-oriented demeanor and in a timely fashion.
8. Ensures that all equipment is in proper working order, properly maintained, properly deployed, and is not misused.
9. Display guest care by:
10. Acknowledge every client with the following 3 actions, even when you're busy; make eye contact; smile; verbal greeting i.e. "hello", "good morning", "it's nice to see you", "welcome".
11. Observe clients. Watch body language and listen to their words so you know what they need.
12. Look to make meaningful connections with your clients daily.
13. Be proactive in asking clients if they need help or service. Don't wait for clients to ask for help or service.
14. Display a positive and friendly demeanor.

16. When standing, clasp or hold hands in front of your body while maintaining good posture. No slouching.
17. Look attentive and engaged.
18. Use an open palm when showing a client something or ushering them in a direction.
19. Maintain facilities and equipment in compliance with safe work practices.
20. Perform all tasks in a safe manner in consideration of the well-being of others and which results in a positive customer experience.
21. Employ vigilant supervision of the security personnel on-duty and deploy resources and man power properly.
22. Surveying the facility, its surrounding areas, and interacting with shift personnel as well as other casino departments' team members to create and maintain a safe environment for patrons and team members alike.
23. Other duties may be assigned by the Lieutenant/Sergeant and/or Security Manager.

• High school diploma or G.E.D required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a criminal background, credit check and drug test.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
• Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must understand the limits of California penal code 832 and how it applies to Security/Surveillance Officers.
• Must be able to meet state/county-licensing requirements for casino security officers as well as any applicable state and county and municipal licensing requirements for security officers.
• Must possess or have the ability to gain a valid California Guard Card.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's license.
• Must be able to maintain professional composure in urgent or tense situations.
• Must wear uniform as directed.
• Must possess strong conflict resolution skills in dealing with customers and employees.
• Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and written skills.
• Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
