Job Summary:
The Security Clinical Aide will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and safe environment while also providing support in clinical settings. This position requires a combination of security expertise, clinical assistance skills, working in a behavioral health environment, and the candidate may be required to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities Include:
Security Duties:
- Monitor and patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, fire, or other emergencies.
- Ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property by maintaining a visible presence & forcing.
- Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action to address the situation.
Clinical Aide Duties:
- Assist Clinical Aide staff in providing client care and support as needed.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and their families.
- Collaborate with clinical personnel to ensure a secure environment for both staff and clients.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate with fellow security personnel, clinical staff
- Report incidents, observations, and security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- Use two-way radios and other communication devices to coordinate responses to emergencies.
Documentation:
- Complete accurate and detailed reports on security incidents, safety hazards, and other relevant activities.
- Maintain records of patient interactions and activities as required by clinical protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security guard license.
- Previous experience in security roles, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties such as standing for extended periods
- CPR and First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
- This position involves working in a behavioral health environment, and the candidate may be required to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
