Security Architect

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of security solutions, integrating Palo Alto firewalls, Prisma Access, SIEM, and Microsoft Sentinel/Defender for Endpoint for comprehensive security posture.
• Develop and implement security policies, controls, and configurations to safeguard against advanced threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct in-depth security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential security gaps and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure network architectures that align with business goals and compliance requirements.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, including rule sets, threat prevention, and advanced security features.
• Utilize Prisma Access to provide secure remote access for remote workers.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts for anomalies, conducting thorough investigations and incident response as needed.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security teams, ensuring adherence to security best practices and standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in cybersecurity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Proven work experience as a Security Architect with specific expertise in Palo Alto, Prisma Access, SIEM, and Microsoft Sentinel/Defender for Endpoint technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewall platforms, including Panorama management console.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing SIEM solutions and interpreting security logs.
• Experience with network security protocols and technologies, including VPNs, IDS/IPS, DLP, and encryption.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex Security Architectures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) are highly desirable.
