POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Analyst will work with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to deliver the Vinson Protect service offering to client districts. This role will work closely with clients and staff to ensure operational tasks are completed and communicated internally and externally. As new clients are identified and procured, the Security Analyst will ensure all tasks are accomplished for a successful onboarding and service delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
Client Focus:
Work closely with the clients and teams to meet all deliverables. The Security Analyst is the primary point of contact for Vinson Protect client requests and communicates with the Chief Information Security Officer and on-site staff as needed.
Develop action plans, set timelines, and maintain continuous communication to deliver the Vinson Protect service to client districts
Perform onboarding activities to configure Vinson Protect services for clients
Assist districts and schools with the installation of required software agents and configurations to effectively deliver Vinson Protect services
Escalate and communicate issues to the Chief Information Security Officer for follow-up
Ensure the overall delivery of the services outlined in the support contract developed for each client
Follow up and complete all client documentation and ensure it is updated throughout the year
Verify clients receive their standard operational reports
Prepare all standard reports and information to support client meetings
Company Support:
Support company-wide initiatives with the Regional Director team to drive a positive company culture and the ability to grow/scale the company through standards
Work with Chief Information Security Officer, Regional Directors, and on-site staff to provide input/insights on company initiatives
Participate in Monthly Team Meetings and Quarterly IT Manager Training
Required Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
ITCA, CC, CCRE, or equivalent Industry-standard certification in cybersecurity
Minimum of 2 years of information technology experience
Ability to think critically, problem solve, communicate, and manage task execution
Ability to strategically plan, organize, and establish priorities to achieve results
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with clients and senior management
Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high-quality level of work
High level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity, with the ability to build relationships while ensuring compliance with all company policies
Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload
Able to handle sensitive/confidential situations and documentation
Growth mindset with a passion for new challenges, continued growth, and feedback
Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and communication skills
Aptitude to troubleshoot and apply technical knowledge in unfamiliar situations
Ability to comprehend and follow verbal/written instructions in English
Ability to consistently present oneself in a professional manner
High level of discretion and ability to follow confidentiality protocols
Must clear criminal background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications:
CISSP, CISM, or equivalent Industry-standard certification in cybersecurity
Experience with deploying server- and workstation-based applications and agents using automated tools, including Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) and Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Associate degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field
2+ years of educational technology experience
Experience working in a school or educational environment
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional school environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The individual can lift up to 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position; typical work hours are 40, Monday through Friday. Our hours of operation are 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. We offer flexible schedules within this time frame to fit your needs. After-hours support may be required on an as-needed basis.
Travel:
This position may be required to travel to support client operations, attend training, attend conferences, or attend meetings but primarily remote. A reliable form of transportation is required. Vinson reimburses employees at a rate of $.655 per mile after 40 miles of travel per day.
