Analyst - Security Engineering

As an integral member of the Information Security team, the Security Engineering Analyst plays a pivotal role in weaving security principles and practices into the fabric of our organization. The Analyst stands at the intersection of technology and business, ensuring seamless integration of security into all facets of our organization. This role is critical for aligning our security initiatives with broader business objectives, ensuring security is built into the heart of every process and product we create.
Responsibilities- Represent the Security team in cross-departmental interactions, particularly within technology. Serve as a conduit for clear, consistent communication between the Security team and other stakeholders, understanding and aligning their needs with security objectives.
- Champion security best practices within the organization, building and maturing a culture of security awareness.
- Provide expert guidance on security-related queries, promoting secure solutions.
- Address queries and review new work requests, aligning them with security processes and requirements and team bandwidth.
- Review and contribute to documentation requests, engaging cross-functional stakeholders to ensure prompt completion and accuracy.
- Manage project timelines, work schedules, and resource allocation efficiently, balancing the technical and business aspects of multiple Security projects.
- Implement and adhere to recognized security frameworks like NIST, CIS, ISO, OWASP Top 10, and PCI DSS.
- Leverage experience in Network Infrastructure, Penetration Testing, Server Engineering, Governance Risk & Compliance, Security Operations, Software Development, Data Science, Privacy, or related security or technology disciplines to bolster security practices.

What we expect from you

- You have a demonstrated current passion for security with at least 1 year of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Governance Risk and Compliance, or a related field.
- You have prior experience with project management, working with agile teams and DevSecOps methodologies.
- You are highly skilled with Microsoft Office, Teams, and other remote work tools.
- You have prior exposure to automation in a security context.
- You understand security and privacy frameworks, regulations, and contractual obligations (e.g., CIS, PCI, GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- You are familiar with scripting and programming languages, including secure coding practices.
- You have prior exposure to penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and code reviews.
- You have prior exposure to governance, risk and compliance practices and standards.
- You have earned relevant certifications (Security+, CEH, CSSLP, GWAPT, etc.), preferred
- You have attained an advanced degrees in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or a related field, preferred

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
