SUMMARY
The Security Analysthas the responsibility to support security initiatives as directed through coordination with Farmers Alliance’s IT Management Team, Operational Leadership Teams, and Technology Teams. As part of the Information Technology Security Team, this position will be primarily tasked with coordinating and assisting in the maintenance, execution, and education of security strategies as outlined by the FAMI Technology Leadership group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a working knowledge of new technology, market trends, and industry developments.
- Participate with leadership to develop and manage ongoing enterprise security governance, compliance, and reliability initiatives.
- Serve as a consultant for the business leaders to assist in adopting security solutions that deliver positive results.
- Identify enterprise requirements for infrastructure resources required to support security implementations or changes.
- Assist with documentation of security policies, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor systems for access, use, and security concerns.
- Investigate and document security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
- Workindependently andwithcross-functionalsecurity team to perform tests, uncover vulnerabilities, and mitigate security concerns.
- Maintain a working knowledge of security trends, standards, and news. Attend conferences and educational events.Obtain certifications related to cyber security focused practices.
- Assist colleagues to install and maintain equipment and systems, apply security focused practices, and understand information security management.
- Develop a documented security assessment plan that includes routine testing, monitoring, reporting, and training.
- Assist in the development of executive reports, including security related metrics.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proficient in various security technologies.
- Ability to conduct various security assessments, perform investigations, and produce reports and documentation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Security+ Certification (Required or must obtain).
- Experience or knowledge in an effective Security Awareness Program.
- Experience or knowledge in security audit and compliance practices.
- Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, etc.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of Network security/components, AD, VMWare, Windows, and Linux.
- Knowledge and experience with HTTP and HTTPS, as well as their underlying implementations.
