Job duties: Advanced secretarial and clerical work for the District Court. Serves as Secretary to District Court Judges taking dictation, typing correspondence and decisions. Provides assistance in the setting and removal of cases from the trial calendar and performs related work as required. This position requires a high level of confidentiality and ability to manage a wide range of unexpected and frequent disruptions, while maintaining a pleasant disposition in serving the public.
Required education and experience: Graduation from high school, courses in secretarial science and/or secretarial experience. Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word.
Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of court system or legal experience is preferred. Employee must interact well with the public, including both written and verbal communication skills. Good typing skills, spelling, grammar and punctuation are beneficial.
