Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Families Forward Director, directly supervised by the Children’s Trauma Initiative Coordinator, this position is responsible for supporting the implementation of the statewide Children’s Trauma Initiative. Performs a wide variety of secretarial/support tasks, which require proficiency in the use of a computer. Creates and manages event registration and participant lists, manages and orders supplies, prepares event materials, enters data, maintains various spreadsheets and tables, and runs reports, etc. Participates in event planning, communicates and coordinates with event venue staff, completes CEU applications. Exercises independent judgment, team player, flexible; may also work in a CMHA-CEI office independently located from the main program site. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. required. A minimum of two years secretarial experience or equivalent required. Must be able to pass a Microsoft Word and Excel exam with a proficient score. Proficient in Microsoft Word is required. The ability to gain proficiency in Smartcare, the agency software that tracks statistical data, services rendered and bill for services is required. Knowledge of Excel is required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check and Central Registry clearance. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $17.85 - $19.75 hourly. 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening hours during training events
Location: Families Forward/Children’s Trauma Initiative Lansing, Michigan
Position will be vacated as of May 13th. Will not start sooner than this date.
