Secondary Operator (General Labor) (Fabrication Location)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently looking for 1st General Labor (Secondary Operator) to join our team. The Secondary Operator is a very important part of the Jireh Metal Production Team. The goal of the Secondary Operator is the safe production of quality product through efficient machine operation, and effective troubleshooting to maximize overall equipment utilization. This will be at our NEW location 2680 Elmridge Drive NW Walker, MI 49534

Hours:

1st shift: 5am - 3pm

The starting pay for this position will depend on your work experience. Pay may be further adjusted higher after 90 days and during performance reviews season.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.

• Use and navigate the company's systems to perform various tasks.
• Startup/shut down of machines and equipment.
• Operate various equipment and machines.
• Identify and report various material defects.
• Use work instructions to perform various tasks, such as receiving raw materials in label and package products, etc.
• Identify and correct any staged problem.
• Use various measuring devices (micrometers, etc.) and fixtures.
• Perform and assist with the setup process.
• Adjust WIP inventory to maintain Jireh System accuracy.
• Perform various checks (Safety Startup, Quality check, etc.) using checklists provided.
• Assist in material or component changes and transfer material to the work center.
• Perform last piece quality control, and review parts for any potential issues.
• Maintain work area cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards, daily.
• Follow all company guidelines and policies including the Team Member Handbook, Safety Handbook, Company memos and directions from the shift Team Leader and Manager.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• Perform other company related duties and tasks as assigned.
