Responsibilities: As a Secondary Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our mortgage portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Lock Maintenance:
- Demonstrate proficiency in maintaining lock commitments and ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Manage lock expiration dates and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Pricing Engine Administration:
- Utilize your expertise to administer pricing engines and ensure accurate and competitive pricing for mortgage products.
- Collaborate with the pricing team to implement updates and improvements.
- Data Management:
- Excel in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Smartsheets, and other relevant software.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Problem Solving:
- Proactively identify and resolve issues related to lock maintenance, pricing discrepancies, and data discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and mitigate challenges.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends and industry changes affecting mortgage pricing.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance our competitive position.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, underwriting, and risk management, to ensure seamless processes and communication.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Multi-Tasking and Flexibility:
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working between the hours of 7 am - 6 pm MST and a willingness to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage secondary market operations.
- Expertise in lock maintenance, pricing engine administration, and data analysis.
- Proficient in using Smartsheets, Excel, and Rate sheet pricing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
