Job Description
University Instructors (UI) is seeking dynamic face-to-face teachers and tutors with a passion for supporting students in grades 6-12 math or ELA. In this role, under the direction of the University Instructors’ team, and the school district, you will partner with district educators to serve students.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner.
Know academic standards, grade level, course content, and best instructional practices in secondary math or science.
Prepare lessons and provide whole group and differentiated small group instruction.
Respond to student questions in a positive and supportive manner, providing as detailed instructions as needed.
Work with the students to set and maintain progress goals.
Participate in relevant professional development and professional learning communities.
Submit records related to attendance, student progress, and other UI program requirements on time.
Support with all assigned duties, including lunch, hallway, bus, and other activities when needed.
Co-plan with assigned teachers and grade-level teams.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:
As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need to have the following:
Be eligible for a Provisional state teaching license in the state of Florida.
Be local to the area.
Three years of experience in providing grades 6-12 math or ELA instruction.
