Job Summary:
Service Manager focused on aftermarket team administration to deliver industrial equipment preventative maintenance and repair to a diverse market, ranging from saw mills and steel foundries to medical, aerospace and high-tech industries. Recruit, develop and train team members to provide top-level support for Rogers-provided equipment. Manage coordinated efforts of in-office customer service administrators and field service technicians throughout greater Seattle and Northwest Washington region.
- Assist in setting goals for department growth and profitability, plan for successful achievement and execute plan.
- Manage Branch Service department personnel, including Service Administrator and Field Technicians, with support from the Branch Manager.
- Ensure technicians are prepared for timely departure and have necessary tools and materials and available knowledge to perform the day’s assignments.
- Administer and uphold safety policy within the service department.
- Responsible for successful completion of high-quality service and repair work, regular communication with customers regarding scheduling changes and job status,
- Attend and contribute to weekly meetings with service technicians & Branch Sales Department.
Directly accomplish or facilitate completion of the following day-to day tasks:
- Field phone calls from customers. Schedule service work for the appropriate technician.
- Update computer service records/notes.
- Research parts and write quotes for customers.
- Ensure staff completes relevant paperwork and data entry
- Assist technicians in managing truck inventories.
- Conduct follow up on repairs to ensure completeness of the job.
- Review technical manuals to understand service and parts requirements.
- Coordinate modifications or repairs with engineering departments.
- Coordinate warranty repairs with vendors and appropriate Warranty Administrator.
- Proactively sell factory service agreements to customers.
- Open & close work orders as needed.
- Keep track of technician’s schedules.

- Writing Ability: Write clear, descriptive and concise documents.
- Organizational Skills: Be able to manage several tasks simultaneously and efficiently. Must be detail-oriented, insuring all routine daily tasks and incoming tasks are completed quickly and accurately.
- Time-management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Be able to pick up where left off with ongoing projects.
- Reasoning Ability: Be able to interpret and follow instructions, adapting where necessary to achieve objective. Identify solutions using investigative skills and logic to determine the best practice outcome.
- Reading: Ability to read and accurately interpret documents.
Qualifications:
- Prior management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel programs
Preferred Skills:
- Experience or knowledge of industrial equipment and customer base
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Environmental Working Conditions: Occasionally will ride along with a service technician or visit a customer site to perform service, repair, technician or customer training.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally.

Pay: $82,500.00 - $111,000.00 per year
