CAPP mobilizes resources to eliminate poverty and educate the public on poverty and community revitalization issues.
Job Purpose: Primary responsibilities are in the areas of financial statement preparation, which include the compilation of data and analysis of financial information, budgeting, reconciliations of accounts, and timely submission of reports. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted internal policies and procedures as well as funding roles and regulations.

Job Duties:
- Prepare financial statements and supporting data for management and the Board of Directors.
- Review and analyze financial statements; prepare commentary for variance with budgets.
- Update accounting controls and procedures.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget; prepare forecasts based on changing conditions.
- Analyze variances vs. budget.
- Prepare and analyze month-end / year-end account balances; adjust as required.
- Review, prepare and boost journal entries.
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations, initially focusing on balance sheet accounts.
- Serve as lead contact to auditors during agency audit, monitoring PBC requirements for timely response and preparing required documents.
- Assist with projects as requested.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training, as requested.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- 5-7 years of direct accounting experience; non-profit accounting experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Blackbaud Financial Edge software experience required
- Cost accounting experience preferred
Job details:
- Non-Exempt/Full-time hours 40 hours per week Monday - Friday; 37.5 paid hours and 2.5 unpaid hours (30-minutes daily for Lunch).
- $45.00 Hourly Rate
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
- BCI - Background Criminal Investigation
- No telework is available for this position. Onsite required.
- This is a 3-month seasonal-temporary position
