Seasonal Material Handler 3 - Receiving

• Primarily operates high-height power equipment (order picker and reach truck, capable of 25’ reach) in a safe and efficient manner to put away and replenish product accurately and efficiently to ensure products are available for order fillers.
• Move, locate, stack, and put away checked in products to correct storage locations daily. This includes stocking, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, and rotating product where needed; monitoring stocking on shelves or bins; replenishing picking stock from reserves; and maintaining control of products in reserve stock area.
• Receives product into the Distribution Center by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack or by hand.
• Ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by inspecting freight for damage and signing freight bills; verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received; checking all shipments against packing lists; and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.
• Ensures all required products have verified bar code labels and human readable Johnstone stock numbers by scanning products, printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards and follows department standard operating procedures.
• Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current Distribution safety rules, and maintaining a clean work area by breaking down cardboard, picking up loose trash or boards, and keeping carts clean.
• Completing any additional tasks or duties designated by the Distribution Center Supervisor.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk on a concrete floor through a warehouse for much of the workday. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and lift up to 50 pounds. The individual is occasionally required to talk or hear and lift up to 70 pounds. Special vision requirements are distance vision, peripheral vision, and color vision.
