Overview:
The Human Resources Internship is an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience in HR and Club operations. The role will involve performing a variety of administrative tasks while experiencing the Club’s approach to recruitment, staff development, payroll, benefits, team events, and internal communications. This seasonal position begins April 2024 to mid-August 2024.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Update internal database with new and existing team member information.
  • Screen resumes and application forms for open positions.
  • Create and distribute internal communications.
  • Process required paperwork for onboarding, transfers, changes in classifications, and other related employment matters.
  • Participate in new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions.
  • Conducts training and other meetings with department staff.
  • Attend job fairs and hiring events as a representative of the Club.
  • Participate in the planning of internal team events.
  • Assist with the preparation of operational reports.
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with members, team members, and vendors.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Career interest in Human Resources or Hospitality Management preferred.
  • Previous customer service or other professional work experience preferred.
