The Role
GM Design's Sculpting organization is seeking a Group Manager to be engaged in multiple programs. We are seeking someone with exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills and the courage to make the changes that will improve the organization.

What You'll Do:
- Manage operational responsibilities for the sculpting organization
- Support cross-functional data analytics
- Represent the interests of the Sculpting Organization with cross-functional management teams
- Evaluate employee performance and provide career development guidance
- Manage the Digital Design Coordinators help support the design organization with the PDM, Surface releases and Team Center support.
- Support hiring activities and develop staffing strategies. Communicate and implement corporate policies.
- Provide leadership and oversight to ensure sculpting deliverables meet Design, Engineering, quality and timing requirements.
- Provide coordination support for sculpting managers and leads in property procurement, inventory, and logistics
- Support Team Management: Oversee a team providing business, organizational, and technical support. Manage changes to software, hardware, and testing processes. Provide technical training to end users and early adopters.
- Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely and cost-effective results, without compromising the integrity, safety and quality of work
- Deliver employee evaluations and deliver compensation package for direct reports
- Identify development opportunities and recommend training
- Communicate model development timelines to cross functional team members
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 10+ years of experience in digital sculpting, perferably automotive
- Demonstrates the courage to make the changes that will improve the organization and helps others overcome their resistance to change
- Strong analytical ability to solve problems
- Effectively communicate with internal and external team members
- Proficient in the use of current office software (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.) with strong ability to create presentations/communication documentation
- Demonstrates and drives behaviors that support diversity and inclusion within the organization
- Bachelor’s degree preferred/equivalent industry related experience considered
