Scribe-Part-Time

Position Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. The Medical Scribe is a vital member of the medical staff who not only assists physicians with paperwork but also operates their EHR system.

Medical Scribing is a paid position with paid training. Candidates will gain an extensive base of medical terminology and clinical information while also gaining on-the-job clinical exposure. The position is ideal for pre-healthcare students and postgraduate students planning work in the healthcare field. This is a Part-time position working 2-4 days a week, 4-8 hours per shift in our SE Urology Location.

Primary Duties & responsibilities:

Completes all EMR tasks given by the physician, including but not limited to entering chief complaints/problems, HPI, orders, assessments, and plans.

• Review the charts for accuracy of lab orders, x-ray reports, or outside physician reports.

Qualifications:

• High School or college degree.
• Interest in Medical Field, preferably Pre-Med, Medical School, Physician Assistant, or other healthcare related field.
• Good communication skills
• Accurate typing skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR use a plus.
• Type a minimum of 40 WPM
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
