SalaryThe Savannah River National Laboratory’s Nuclear Measurements Group seeks early-career physicist/nuclear scientist/nuclear engineer (Entry Level Nuclear/Radiochemist) to support our analytical services and conduct research and development in our Nuclear Measurements and Radiochemistry Laboratories.
The successful candidate would provide expertise in one or more of these three key areas:
- Conducting gamma- and neutron-based non-destructive assays and modeling of various materials;
- Providing support in nuclear measurement research and development to support the needs of various government agencies, including several offices within the U.S. Department of Energy;
- Supporting a wide customer base by conducting novel and routine nuclear measurements and/or radiochemical separations on various sample matrices containing a wide range (environmental to high-dose) of radioactivity.
Preferred disciplines are Physics, Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Chemistry, or Nuclear/Radiological Engineering, but applicants having related disciplines will be considered.
