BAE Systems is looking for Laser Scientists. These Scientists will be responsible for the generation and demonstration of SWaP-intensive laser-based technology in the UV/VIS/IR regions for use in military and aerospace environments. Candidates must have analytical and practical laboratory-based experience in multiple laser technologies including, but not limited to: semiconductor lasers, fiber lasers, solid state lasers, and non-linear optical materials.

- Effectively present technical and program information to large audiences
- Support Independent Research and Development (IRaD) projects
- Investigate the application of scientific principles to new concepts and applications
- Provide timely and comprehensive reporting of technical and program progress
- Support collaboration with external vendors, industry and academic partners to mature laser technology
- Communication with current, past and potential Customers
- Design, demonstrate and analyze optical performance of Proof-of-Concept lasers
- Author/Co-Author publications such as journals, proceedings and conference posters
- Synthesize and mature Intellectual Property
- Contribute to Business Development and Proposal activities
