- School 5 - 550 Chews Landing Road Lindenwold, NJ 08021- Embedded school day - (be available 10am - 3pm)
- Middle School - 40 White Horse Avenue Lindenwold, NJ 08021- (after school hrs. 3 pm- 4pm)
- Tutoring occurs 3 days each week (Tuesday- Thursday)
- Work hours to not exceed 29 hours per week
- Program will run for 26 weeks
BASIC FUNCTION
The New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. provides high-dosage tutoring for pre-K through Grade 8 students in math and literacy to close learning gaps. Tutoring will be embedded in established networks of community-based organizations in high-need communities during the School Year and summer months. The New Jersey Tutoring Corps is seeking to hire Instructional Coaches to oversee tutor performance and provide guidance to tutors during its School Year program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate with the Site Coordinator and develop strong relationships with the site staff and community, as appropriate.
- Ensure that tutors are using high quality resources and data driven instruction needed to help scholars succeed.
- Observe tutoring and provide constructive feedback to tutors.
- Work closely with program staff and participate in bi-weekly meetings with other coaches.
- Apprise the program leadership team of issues immediately and help work to resolve them.
- Work with the Site Coordinator assigned to your site(s) to review tutor performance and provide guidance as needed.
- Fills in for tutors if there are no substitutes available.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS).
- Experience teaching.
- Past history of Instructional Coaching.
- Undergo background check for I9 status to work in the United States, criminal history check (fingerprints) or provide fingerprint certificate if criminal history check is already in place.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of best practices in teaching
- Some knowledge of the implementation of the Danielson Framework
- Demonstrated ability to excellent communication and written skills, particularly in providing feedback to others in a constructive manner
District Requirements:
- Meet COVID requirements of the district for which you are working - show proof of vaccination if requested.
- District mask rules must be followed while indoors.

The New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc partners with school districts and community organizations like Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCAs to offer high-dosage tutoring to scholars in grades K-8, both during the summer and the School Year. We are a statewide tutoring program with services provided throughout New Jersey.
