School Social Worker Woodland Developmental Center POSITION SUMMARY:To enhance and facilitate the education of students by providing quality comprehensive School Social worker services to all eligible students at Woodland Developmental Center. Develop and sustain collaborative relationships with community partners and assist students with the transition from Woodland to the community. QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree in Social WorkLicense from the State of Michigan to practice Social WorkSchool Social Worker approval from the Michigan Department of EducationMust have a valid Michigan driver's licenseExperience with Positive Behavior Supports and Dual Diagnosis preferredMust have Crisis Prevention Institute Certification or willingness to obtain it.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide services to students in various forms including both individual and group sessionsMeet all timelines and mandated compliance in completing evaluations, FBAs, IEPs, and related documentationDevelop individual behavior support plans that facilitate effective learning and socialization, including bus incidents, and assisting with students in crisisBe a Key Identified Personnel (KIP Member)Lead and facilitate the school wide positive behavior support initiativeProvide coordination and or case management services with the school staff, and outside agencies that work collectively to support studentsProvide In-services, consultation, modeling, and coaching to students, parents, and staff regarding effective behavioral interventions and techniquesBe part of a collaboration team reviewing the intake processes for enrollment of students.Take the lead in parent/agency contact and have the ability to develop interdisciplinary teams in problem-solving activities, including scheduling, facilitating and documenting problem-solving sessions/meetingsAttend IEPTs at WDC and within local educational school districts as neededIn this role you must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting studentsWork cooperatively and creatively with the staff and community-at-largeOther duties deemed appropriate by the building administrator THIS LIST OF ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE AND MAY BE SUPPLEMENTED AS NECESSARY.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Employment Date: Pending Board approval and successful completion of employee entrance drug screening and background checks.Work Schedule: 187 Contract days, year-round calendar Start of the 2024-2025 school year July of 2024.Salary Range: Negotiated IEA bargaining agreement salary schedule.
