About the Role
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities in school settings. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), teachers, and other school staff, to provide comprehensive ABA services.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity and accuracy.
- Collect and analyze data to track student progress and make data-driven decisions to refine BIPs.
- Collaborate with teachers,BCBAs,and other school staff to ensure consistent and effective implementation of BIPs.
- Model positive behaviors for students,demonstrating social and communication skills that promote successful interactions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
- Attend regular team meetings to discuss student progress and collaborate on intervention strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on research and best practices in ABA,continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disabilities in a school or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,fostering positive relationships with students,parents,and colleagues.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor,creating a supportive and nurturing environment for students with special needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team,demonstrating both leadership potential and collaborative spirit.
