Job Summary:
The School Psychologist will play a critical role in our educational team by assessing student needs, providing psychological services, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment: Conduct psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, emotional, and social functioning, and identify student needs.
- Intervention: Implement evidence-based interventions to address students' behavioral and academic challenges.
- Consultation: Serve as a consultant to teachers, parents, and administrators regarding mental health, learning, and behavior management strategies.
- Program Development: Participate in the development of programs to support student mental health and well-being.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with school staff and outside agencies to coordinate services for students.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide support and intervention in crisis situations affecting the school community.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with research and best practices in school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid Arizona certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of current theories, methods, and practices in school psychology and education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Commitment to ethical standards of practice and confidentiality.
