Neosho School District is in need of qualified RN and LPN School Nurses to be "on-call" throughout the school year. Positions will be dedicated to a substitute duty roster and successful candidates will be notified for short and long-term assignments when staff nurses are absent.

Essential Functions:
• Assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, management, and/or referral activities.
• Serves as the direct link between physicians, families, and community agencies to assure access and continuity of health care of students.
• Upholds professional standards, the state Nurse Practice Act, and other state and local statutes and regulations applicable to school nursing practice, and adheres to district policies and administrative guidelines.
• Administer daily and emergency medication to students.
• Administer appropriate level of first aid for illness and injury
• Make parent contacts when appropriate regarding a student's illness or injury
• Provides screening and referral for health conditions.
• Promotes health, safety and a healthy school environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior, speech, dress and appropriate professional manner for the work setting.
• Provide accurate documentation of health room visits and details of care given in student's health record.
• Maintains strict confidentiality.
• Other duties as required or assigned.
