Form of workBaton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school is opening in August 2023, starting with grades PreK4 - 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK - 8th at full capacity.
Pay range starts at $50,000 for 10-month position based on years of experience.

The School Nurse will be responsible for:
- Administering care to sick students
- Medication administration for students
- Actively coordinating with the Administration Team, Science Teachers, and HPE teachers to help deliver the Discovery Schools healthy living and healthy environment curriculum to students & families
- Maintaining medical records and required health documents
- Serving in a leadership role for health policies, health programs, and compliance
- Strong organizational and technology skills required.
