Job description

Catapult Learning is seeking multiple PA Certified School Counselors or PA Licensed Social Workers to work as the Family Connections Liaisons with non-public elementary and high school students for the 2023-2024 school year. 

Full-time and Part-time positions available across Philadelphia. Compensation is $34-37/hr. 

The Family Connections Liaison will assess and counsel students individually or in small groups as they overcome whatever challenges they might face and alleviate the external barriers interfering with their ability to succeed. Candidates must possess strong knowledge in evidence-based practices, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal communication skills, be computer literate, independent, flexible, and people oriented. 
Catapult Learning provides all classroom and instructional materials as well as prepared lesson plans and paid training. Continued instructional and leadership support for all teachers is also provided.

Here is what you can expect in your role as a School Counselor or Social Worker:

  • Provide individual and group counseling, group guidance lessons, and consultations.   
  • Consult and collaborate with both school personnel and parents/guardians to develop specific interventions on behalf of eligible students.   
  • Refer students and families to appropriate community agencies.    
  • Provide parent involvement workshops.  
  • Complete documentation in compliance with the School District and Catapult Learning requirements.  
  • Other duties may be assigned.  

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.    
  • Active PA School Counseling Certification or Licensed Social Worker    
  • Catapult Learning employees are subject to state and local licensure and pre-employment screening. 
  • Must be proficient with virtual platforms, i.e. Zoom
