School Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Contract Position

Location: Corona, CA

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team of professionals at a school district in Corona, CA. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to children with disabilities in the school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Implement Occupational Therapy interventions to students in accordance with the goals and objectives outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, other school personnel, and parents to identify and address student needs
• Develop and implement therapeutic activities and strategies that are appropriate for each student's age, interests, and abilities
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure that therapy goals are being met
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other required paperwork
• Attend and participate in team meetings and other school-related activities as required

Requirements:

• Valid California COTA license
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a school setting preferred
• Experience working with children with disabilities preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

This is a Contract Position for the upcoming school year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability. Competitive compensation and benefits package will be offered.
