Green Hills AEA is currently recruiting a full-time School Based Interventionist serving East Union Community School District for the 2023-2024 school year.
The School Based Interventionist works with identified at-risk students and families to reduce and prevent issues such as: truancy, behavior problems, pregnancy, drug use, and involvement with law enforcement and the Juvenile Justice System, in order to promote positive social skills, peer mediation, problem solving, effective communication, and academic success. As well as partnering with families to meet their unique needs within an integrated system of early intervention services and within natural communities of support.
Qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice, social work, or education. Prior experience working with youth and families, or any combination of experience and education that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills required, along with the ability to make connections with students, families, schools, and agencies.
Green Hills AEA employs approximately 311 employees across the southwest region of the state, serving all public and non-public schools in our service area. Starting salary will be approximately $20.00- $22.00, for a 190 day contract. Additional paid professional development days are available.
