POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for facilitating classroom size groups, for K-5th grade, organizing the cross-age buddies program and facilitating any and all additional units as relates to the Caring School Community curriculum. CSC is a nationally recognized evidenced based program and must be followed as designed. The position falls under the direct supervision of the Program Director. This is a moderate level of autonomy and a moderate range of internal/external contacts.


Specific job responsibilities and goals include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate classroom size groups, for K-5th Grade using the Caring School Community curriculum.
  • Complete documentation related to provision of the Caring School Community program.
  • Conduct class meetings/sessions as per CSC Curriculum.
  • Make presentations about YFA, programs and services and related issues.
  • Participate in meetings and work sessions related to service provision including programmatic supervision, individual supervision and inter-program supervision.
  • Provide input concerning changes/enhancements to programs and services and participate in design/redesign of programs and services as requested.
  • Conduct community outreach programs.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned or as necessary to ensure that clients receive necessary services and/or ensure that necessary administrative tasks are completed.
  • Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or leadership.
  • Trained and authorized to access protected health information.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 4+ years experience directly in human services, preferably in counseling or with at-risk youth, preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and statewide as needed.
  • Ability to bend, lift and carry 30 pounds
