Job Description:
The Scholarly Publications and Analytics Librarian reports to the Research Impact Librarian and is responsible for improving the accuracy of the scholarly identity, impact, and reputation of LSU researchers; analyzing and reporting on LSU research bibliometrics; and facilitating the adoption and use of persistent identifiers for LSU researchers and publications.
Responsibilities Include:
80% Develop strategies and implement procedures to improve the accuracy of the scholarly identity, impact, and reputation of LSU researchers by tracking and ensuring that the full scope and impact of LSU's scholarship output are captured by bibliographic databases, ranking agencies and other relevant sources; increasing the adoption of personal identifiers; participating in related professional activities.
15% Communicate with faculty as needed to correct scholarly profiles.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree: MLIS, MLS degree from an ALA-accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an academic library; familiarity with research metric data sources (e.g., Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar, etc.).
