This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift between business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 303 Roma Avenue in Albuquerque, NM 87102.

We offer weeks of paid training. . The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Training will be conducted onsite.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately schedules and coordinates patient appointments for assigned clinics.
  • The ability to work in a high call volume environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Analyzing provider schedules to ensure maximum capacity is met.
  • Obtains eligibility and benefit information in a timely manner: assigning FSC (Financial Class) entering benefits and all other related activities i.e. transfers, demographic data changes in IDX.
  • Registers patients in IDX including updating patient demographics, current insurance information, current primary care provider, emergency contacts, and all relevant fields.
  • Uses appropriate text templates in the electronic health record, tasks clinic teammates using the electronic health record, and ability to multitask between business office systems and the electronic health record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent working experience
  • 1+ year of related customer service experience in the administration, medical, or scheduling field
  • 1+ years of related healthcare experience to include scheduling experience and in verification of eligibility and benefits
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology, and proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Ability to work full-time between 8:00am – 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within Albuquerque, NM
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:

  • Able to problem solve, excellent writing and verbal skills.
