Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient scheduling and minimize wait times
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the scheduling system
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and coordination of care
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for scheduling procedures, tests, and consultations
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries from patients, providing information and assistance as needed
- Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorizations for procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience in medical administrative support or patient service systems preferred
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a healthcare setting, such as an ER or dental receptionist
- Proficiency in phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Understanding of medical office procedures and terminology
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
