Scheduler (Medical)

Scheduler Opportunity:

Principle Health Systems is hiring a Medical Scheduler to support our busy, rapidly growing clinical laboratory company (Principle Laboratory) with headquarters in the League City/Webster, Texas area. This position will support our laboratory operations and clients/customers by scheduling home health patient draws/specimen collections for our mobile phlebotomy team.

• Full-time; permanent role
• Pay: Hourly pay based on experience and tenure
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM (with a 1-hour lunch) OR 9:00AM-5:30PM (with a 30 minute lunch)

Scheduler Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for ensuring that incoming orders are logged and scheduled efficiently and that all customer and/or patient concerns are addressed urgently.
• Monitor faxes and emails for new lab orders
• Log all orders/save files and check for completeness
• Communicate any Incomplete orders to the Sales team for follow-up.
• Schedule, via phone, all patient draws based on defined route schedules and customer needs
• Communicate all scheduled orders and any questions/concerns to appropriate internal contacts via email and phone
• Address and/or escalate any patient or customer Issues in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed notes on all customer interactions and scheduled draws

Scheduler Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• High school diploma
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
• Our ideal candidate will have diligent attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills ,and be self-motivated to achieve daily scheduling goals.
• Must have excellent phone and emal communication skills
• Must have keen attention to details, a can-do attitude and ability to problem solve independently
